QWhat training is offered, and to whom?
SUFN runs its own Lighting Design Academy. Training is open to store staff, sales personnel, interior designers, installers and project teams.
QHow large is the academy?
Founded in 2017, the academy has run 13 professional cohorts training more than 5,000 lighting designers, delivered 17 “Win at the Terminal” camps to over 1,000 participants across 95% of target cities, and hosted more than 1,000 “Dialogue with Light” designer salons reaching nearly 30,000 designers across 90% of cities.
QWhat do the courses cover?
Product knowledge, trackless-lighting design, smart-system commissioning, installation and repair, retail sales technique, negotiation scripts, project delivery and troubleshooting.
QWhat formats are available?
Regular online livestream sessions, recorded courses, intensive training at head office, regional touring programmes and in-store training for partner shops.
QDo new partners receive free induction training?
Yes — every new partner receives free training from zero, covering product, technology, sales, design and after-sales.
QCan designers join the advanced lighting design programme?
Advanced lighting design training is open to partner designers, covering whole-home trackless schemes, light-and-shadow aesthetics, scene composition and high-end project delivery.
QIs a certificate awarded?
Participants who pass the assessment receive an official certificate. The academy runs graded programmes at foundation, intermediate and advanced levels.
QIs bespoke corporate training available?
Yes — bespoke in-house programmes for fit-out companies, project teams and large partners, with content and delivery tailored to the team.
QAre training materials available?
Partners and designers can request course materials, teaching videos, lighting case studies, plan templates and sales scripts free of charge.
QIs ongoing support provided after training?
Everyone who has trained keeps access to long-term technical Q&A, lifetime learning resources and a dedicated contact for difficult problems.
